Tips on How to Cure Anxiety Attacks

 Anxiety is not a comfortable or amiable emotion. Everyone has experienced anxiety, in some points of their lives, like before a big meeting with the bosses, or an exciting first date, or before a presentation in front of a huge audience. Anxiety is a normal and universal response especially when we experience stress or when under unpleasant situations.

If you are the type of person who suffers from constant anxiety and panic attacks, you may want to know how to cure anxiety attacks. However, being in anxiety too often or to suddenly in unpredictable occasions can be very uncomfortable. Some people experience such anxiety attacks often, which can last for months up to years, usually with no apparent or logical cause. Some symptoms when suffering anxiety or panic attacks include: increased heart rate, difficulty in breathing, feeling of an impending doom, and more. Indeed, recurring anxiety attacks can make one’s life difficult.

Firstly, it is important to know that anxiety attacks and anxiety disorders are mental conditions. The best way to treat them is by first understanding them. Anxiety, is fundamentally a manifestation of fear about the future events, or sometimes, of past events.

Here are some ways on how to cure anxiety attacks, at least to lessen them:

  • Breathing Techniques

During an anxiety or panic attack, breathing is extremely difficult, and some sufferers undergo rapid breathing, or hyperventilation. This causes a huge increase in oxygen level and huge decline in carbon dioxide levels, making one feel all light-headed, and even cause one to faint.

When one has suffered the following symptoms, one should try breathe through the diaphragm. Make slow, deep and steady breaths, to help you gain control while in an anxiety attack.

  • Relaxation Techniques

Sufferers must know the importance of relaxation techniques in overcoming anxiety attacks. Learn to breathe and relax. Find a quiet and sole spot, sit and cross your legs, and try meditating. Light some candles and turn on some relaxing music (soothing nature and sea sounds always work!). Try yoga, and do breathing techniques. These methods will surely relax one’s mind.

  • A Healthy Diet

Certain foods can trigger an anxiety or panic attack. Diet elements like nicotine, caffeine, alcohol, and other food trigger adrenaline release, which are the prime stress inducing chemicals. Eat light, and have a protein & carbohydrate rich diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables. Oily food, heavy food, junk food, and soft drinks should be avoided at all times.

  • Regular and Active Exercise

One very effective way on how to cure anxiety with home remedies attacks is through regular and active exercise. Exercise can improve an individual’s disposition exponentially. It helps get rid of stress chemicals and at the same time calms the mind. Jog or ride a bike through the park and enjoy the amazing scenery. Not only will it help you mentally, but physically and emotionally as well. It will help you develop a fit and firm body, at the same time build your self image and self confidence as well.
